The Passing of Mœbius

The Art World has lost a priceless jewel; Mœbius aka Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, born 8 May 1938 and sadly passed away today 10 March 2012. A visionary, an artistic genius, one of the founders of ‘Métal Hurlant‘ / ‘Heavy Metal‘ magazine, concept artist, and comic book artist – he created some of the most stunning Sci-Fi and Fantasy art ever created. His wonderful art has inspired generations of artists, myself included.

You know his work even if you’ve never realized it.
