At first I was pretty excited because in the past this show has been one of my better shows. But not this year, it was a very disappointing show, the city really shot themselves in the foot by cancelling it two years ago, then last year only having it as a one day show. Saturday, was good, a fair amount of attendees, but Sunday was painfully desolate. Many of the other crafters bugged out Saturday evening or early Sunday because there was a threat (30%) of storms. The storms ended up passing us by and weather-wise it was a nice day. Because of the city failing to properly advertise the show, the attendees from the biker event the next city over didn’t even know that there was a craft show on Sunday.
I will definitely be back next year, if I didn’t have family there it would be a different story. Next show is GenCon, and lots to do before August. If you live in Geneseo IL and missed me this past weekend I will be at the ‘Home For The Holidays’ craft show in November.
