These are what I’m currently working on:
The Troll King (it’s no secret that I loathe this man).
Budda Cthulhu – I start painting Monday/Tuesday. I still have a few details to work out. As I’ve indicated before, this year will be Illustrations for shirts & other merch in my online stores…
SketchFest is live this weekend so I’ve been working on a few prompts. At the moment I have no plans to turn these concept drawings into full paintings.
Stag of the Moon: I know it’s not a ‘stag’ but, this is where the prompt led me.
Lady of Spring:
I have one more prompt to work on, I’m not sure I’ll get it done in time (only a few hours left to SketchFest72). Today I’d like to try and hammer out one or two sketch cards or 4×6’s to list on feebay tomorrow AM. Unsure yet.
These days I tend to post lots of updates on my tumblr.
Definitely going to paint this, maybe even do a series. Instead of the traditional bold colors, I’m thinking muted pale shades, white hair, pink eyes or pale blue eyes. I want it to look very painterly.
(drawn with a Peacock Blue Verithin Pencil)
Over all I had a pretty good show, got to catch up with Bill & Celest, Cyn Narcisi, Jeff Clark and Jake Reuth. A few of my GenCon Regulars (which also happened to be locals) came to the show. Once the group photos have been posted I’ll repost them here too.
Artwork for Ed of SciFi Cards, I think it’s going to be his promo card for his next show…
5×7 Watercolor, Acrylic & Ink on Arches Hot Press Watercolor Paper.
I will definitely be doing more ‘Pin Up’ type art in the near future.
Shows: I have no definitive plans on any shows, I will post here if I do land a spot. I’m hoping there’s going to be a horror show or two in the next few months. .
Artwork & Commissions: I have several commissions, my MarlaBea Donation & Sketchbook sketches to get done in the next week. Then I’ll be working on artwork for a new ‘samples’ page and booklet. This new direction I believe will be more marketable to the general public, and less specialized as I am now with the Gothic & Fantasy art.
